This is a key safety-critical role, requiring strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage site activities effectively in a live rail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Engineering Supervisor (ES) in accordance with Network Rail standards
- Supervise and control engineering works within possessions and work sites
- Ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to approved method statements and work plans
- Brief staff, contractors, and visitors on site-specific safety arrangements
- Liaise with the Person in Charge of Possession (PICOP), COSS, and other safety-critical staff
- Monitor site conditions and stop work if unsafe conditions arise
- Ensure accurate completion of site documentation, permits, and reports
- Promote a strong safety culture and compliance at all times
- Current and valid Engineering Supervisor (ES) competency
- Valid PTS
- Proven experience working as an ES within the rail industry
- Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards, rules, and safe systems of work
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and possessions
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Right to work in the UK
