This role is ideal for either:
✅ Experienced payroll administrators looking to work in a fast-paced construction labour supply environment.
✅ Data entry or administrative professionals with strong Excel skills who are keen to train in payroll.
Full payroll process training will be provided for candidates with a strong data entry/administration background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately input and validate weekly timesheet data from multiple labour sites and operatives.
- Cross-check shift details, job roles and pay rates against project-specific rate cards.
- Prepare payroll spreadsheets for submission to external payroll firms.
- Liaise with consultants and site staff to resolve any timesheet discrepancies before deadlines.
- Maintain internal payroll logs and reports to ensure audit readiness.
- Handle all personal data in line with GDPR and company policies.
- Previous experience in data entry, administration or payroll support.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables and data formatting desirable).
- Ability to meet tight weekly deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills for liaising with internal teams.
- Knowledge of PAYE, CIS or umbrella payroll models.
- AAT or CIPP qualification (or working towards).
- Experience within construction labour compliance and timesheet systems.
