This is a critical leadership role for someone with a strong engineering background and the technical capabilities to manage end-to-end project delivery while ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full life cycle of civil and groundworks projects, from mobilisation to completion.
- Produce and manage Construction Phase Plans (CPP), Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), and Lift Plans.
- Lead and supervise site teams, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers across multiple locations.
- Coordinate groundworks activities including deep drainage, confined space operations, utility diversions, earthworks, and structural concrete installations.
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and site-specific health and safety requirements.
- Engage in progress meetings with clients, local authorities, and internal teams to ensure milestones and targets are achieved.
- Identify and mitigate risks, and maintain quality control across all project stages.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Maintain accurate records, site diaries, and project documentation.
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager in civil engineering and groundworks (minimum 5 years in a similar role).
- Strong engineering background (civil engineering qualification – HNC, HND or Degree preferred).
- Demonstrable experience in writing and managing CPPs, RAMS, Lift Plans.
- Sound knowledge of confined space regulations and deep drainage construction methods.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse site teams and external stakeholders.
- SSSTS certification (SMSTS also acceptable/preferred).
- Black CSCS Card - NVQ in Construction Management
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across multiple project sites.
- Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor certification
