Role Overview
As a Groundworker, you will be involved in all aspects of groundworks, with a key focus on troughing installation. You will support site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Additional plant tickets such as dumper, roller, or slinger/signaller are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of troughing routes including excavation, laying, and reinstatement
- General groundworks including drainage, ducting, kerbing, and concreting
- Assisting plant operators and working around machinery safely
- Following site drawings, plans, and specifications
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Adhering to all health & safety regulations
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Proven experience in groundworks, including troughing installation
- Dumper, Roller, or Slinger/Signaller ticket (advantageous)
- Experience in rail or utilities environments (preferred)
- Good understanding of site safety and best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and hard-working attitude
