Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of finishing carpentry works, with the majority of the work involving the fitting, adjustment, and reworking of ironmongery to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Fitting and adjusting door ironmongery, including hinges, handles, locks, closers, and associated hardware.
- Reworking existing ironmongery installations to ensure correct operation and finish.
- Easing, adjusting, and realigning doors as required.
- Carrying out general 2nd fix carpentry works.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and workmanship.
- Working independently from drawings and site instructions.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Proven experience in both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of door sets and architectural ironmongery.
- Ability to troubleshoot and rectify installation issues.
- Own tools and PPE essential.
- CSCS card preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work unsupervised.
